We went down in our front pasture next to the creek. There was a lot of sandy dirt and we built a bunch of our own "kingdoms." Since these pictures have been taken, there have been a few changes to the kingdoms, but we haven't gone down and worked on them for a few days. There are a lot of empty snail shells and we like to use them for houses. There is also a lot of acorns, lots of sticks and bark and plenty of water from the creek, which isn't to hard to get as long as you bring a plastic bucket.

This is Cookie the cat. His full name is Oreo Cookie. Cookie is about two years old and he is really nice. Cookie follows us out to the pasture when we go on walks. He also likes to follow us around in the yard. Sometimes we let Cookie inside or he sneaks in. If the big door is open, Cookie will put his paws up on the window and look through the screen door. He will scratch the door and tip his head sideways while looking at us, begging to be let in. Cookie is really good at looking cute. Cookie likes to be buddies with his brother Blackie and another cat named Smokey. Sometimes Cookie will play with kittens, but he is gentle.
On Saturday some of us kids went out to the pasture. It was raining and we heard some thunder. There was a lot of flooding, the whole woods area was pretty much one big fast-moving creek. It was fun to walk around and look at all the water. We stepped in some of it but avoided the deep parts. Today we went for a walk in the pasture. All the water is gone but there is a lot of mud. We walked through the mud.
This is Smokey, one of our barn cats. Smokey is the only cat with long hair that we have.
Smokey is about a year old. As a kitten he was scared of people and wasn't really a very cute kitten. He also had a blind eye from an illness he got as a kitten. He may not have been a real great kitten but he sure has turned out to be a fun cat. Smokey is friendly and loves to play. His eye has cleared up, but now his eyes are different colors. His adorable fluffiness is a big bonus. It is a lot of fun to watch Smokey play, we can see him out the windows in the house. He is so cute and fluffy, like a giant living puffball. Sometimes when I pour water out of a jug Smokey will slap at the water with his paw. He will also try to bite the water. When I pet him he often flops down on his back and I rub his tummy. Then he attacks my hands. It's hard to get a picture of Smokey because he's always moving and cats are hard to photograph anyway. These baby lambs were all born on Wednesday, February 27. The brown spotted ones are very tiny and cute. Right now we are keeping them in little pens so we can keep a close eye on the lambs. They will eventually go back out to the big pen.
Several days ago we walked down to the bridge and played in the creek. We didn't stay for very long but it was fun. We also went out to the pasture yesterday and climbed some trees. We have been going out to the pasture to walk around and play on ice. We found a big patch yesterday and we picked up big pieces of it and smashed it. It was like glass.
This is Choo Choo the house cat. As you can see we have included some of his kitten pictures. He was the most adorable kitten ever. We found Choo Choo and his sister Pumpkin in a old tree stump. Their mother was missing so we raised the kittens. We bottle fed them. It was fun. Pumpkin disappeared several years ago but we still have Choo Choo. He is about 8 years old now. Choo Choo spends most of his time inside, sleeping and eating. Usually he gets put outside at night. Sometimes Choo Choo is inside too long and then he gets wild. That's the best time to play with him. Choo Choo has a chair that he always sleeps on. It's the blue chair in one of the pictures. It's covered in cat hair.
