These are some new ideas that I've discovered by watching a few You Tube videos. They were fun to make!

Awhile ago, someone gave me this as a gift. It's a kit that comes with just about all you need to build a cute little coffee house. I worked on it some, then put it away for awhile, and now I got it out again. I'm hoping to finish it this time!
Building the stuff is actually pretty hard, but it's fun. Although, I have gotten pretty frustrated with building some of the furniture. Some of it looks a little crooked. The part I like best is putting together all the little tiny details, like the books and little containers. Everything is measured in millimeters. Some of the tools I use are: scissors, needle-nosed pliers, an exacto knife, a ruler, a pencil, tweezers, sandpaper, some pliers that are meant for making jewelry, toothpicks, and glue. These are some paintings and drawings that I have done recently. The first painting is one I gave away as a present, the next two are of the same sunset, just different views. All three paintings were done with watercolors and I used my own photographs as refrences. The sunset painting with the grass looks a little funny (and so does the barbed wire one) but they're okay.
The next three drawings (shown in four photos) were done with characoal and I used an old calendar for refrence photos. The two drawings of the cats aren't very good, but they were fun to do anyway. I really like the cat eyeball though. That one was really fun and I liked how it turned out. If you want to see more of my art work, click on the art gallery button on the side bar. |
