We like to use bags to carry around things to play with. But the bags we had were too small and Daniel didn't even have one of his own. So I found some fabric ( it was actually a old skirt ) and made a bag for myself first. To make the strap I cut long pieces of fabric and braided them together and sewed the end to the bag. For the button on mine, I cut a piece of leather string and sewed to the bag to make a loop to go over the button. It was hard to sew the leather but it turned out well, so it was worth it. The next bag I completed was Sarah's. It is exactly like mine, except has a different colored strap and a different button and ribbon. Then I made Daniel's. The fabric is actually his. For his strap I sewed strips of fabric together and then folded the edges over and sewed down the middle of the strap. For his button loop I used a piece of elastic. Now all three of us have a bag that we can use. We used them to carry food for a picnic in our woods.

John had wanted me to draw a picture of his nutcracker. But I decided to paint a portrait of the nutcracker instead. I finished it and gave it to John, and then Sarah and Daniel wanted one too. I painted a portrait of Sarah's Calico Critter, one of Daniel's horse, and one of his penguin. Then I drew a picture of Sarah's little doll and traced it so that there would be two copies of the drawing, because we both wanted to paint it. For Daniel's horse I traced a drawing, but everything else I drew by myself.
